This Privacy Policy explains what data AdagIA ("the App", provided by nicomotica) collects, how it is used, and how it is shared. It also explains how data is processed when you use AI-assisted features.
Account Data: Display name, email address, country code, profile photo (optional), and authentication provider (Apple or Google). Apple may provide a relay email if you choose to hide your real address.
User Content: Sayings, translations, ratings, comments, reports, content requests, team interactions, and other contributions you submit.
AI Inputs & Outputs: Text you submit to AI-assisted features (AI Complete, AI Enhance, AI Translate, AI Variants, AI Explain), the language and metadata you provide, and the AI-generated outputs returned to you. See Section 5.
Usage Data: Contribution counts, trust-score history, Eco credit balance and transactions, team participation, and feature usage events used to operate trust, moderation, and rate-limit systems.
Purchase Data: Subscription status, product identifiers, and original transaction IDs received from Apple's StoreKit. We do not receive or store your credit card number — that is handled entirely by Apple.
Push Tokens: If you allow notifications, your Apple Push Notification Service device token is stored to deliver notifications you have enabled.
Photos: If you choose to upload a profile photo, the image is selected from your photo library or camera. The image is scanned on-device for sensitive content using Apple's SensitiveContentAnalysis framework before upload. Only the photo you confirm is uploaded.
Server Logs: Our servers log standard request metadata (IP address, timestamp, user-agent, endpoint, response status) for security, abuse-prevention, and debugging. IP addresses in logs are retained for up to 30 days and are not used to track you across sites.
Where the EU/UK GDPR or analogous laws apply, we rely on: contractual necessity (to operate the App you requested), legitimate interest (to keep the platform safe, prevent abuse, and improve quality), consent (for push notifications and optional features), and legal obligation (for tax, fraud, and law-enforcement requests).
The App offers AI-assisted features that send your input text to third-party AI providers in order to return a result. Specifically:
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with:
We retain account and contribution data for as long as your account is active. AI-cache entries are retained for up to 90 days. Server logs are retained up to 30 days. After you delete your account (see Section 8), we erase or irreversibly anonymize your personal account data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. tax/financial records) or for legitimate fraud-prevention purposes — in which case access is restricted and the data is deleted at the end of the legal period.
Public contributions are not deleted automatically. Sayings, proverbs, idioms, translations, corrections, audio (where applicable), and ratings you have published as part of AdagIA's collaborative public catalogue remain available after account deletion, but are de-attributed — your name, handle, avatar and account identifier are removed from them. This reflects the collaborative nature of the catalogue: other users build upon, rate, translate, and group these contributions, and bulk removal would damage the community's shared work. To request removal of specific shared contributions, see Section 8.
Delete your account from the App. Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This action erases or irreversibly anonymizes your personal account data: profile name, email, profile photo, country, push tokens, AI request cache, private favorites and collections, Eco balance and transaction history, team memberships, reports you filed, and similar account-level data.
Removal of shared catalogue contributions. Public contributions (sayings, translations, ratings, etc.) are not deleted by the in-app account-deletion flow; they are de-attributed (Section 7) and remain in the public catalogue. If you want specific shared contributions removed, email apps@nicomotica.com from the email address associated with your AdagIA account and list the contributions you want removed. We will review each request — bearing in mind your legal rights, the original authorship of the content, and the integrity of the community-curated catalogue — and respond within 30 days. We will always honor removal requests required by applicable law.
Other rights. Subject to applicable law, you also have the right to access your data, correct inaccurate data, port your data to another service, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. EU/UK residents may lodge a complaint with their local data-protection authority. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of "sharing" — note that we do not "sell" or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Apple subscriptions. Auto-renewable subscriptions purchased through the App Store are managed by Apple and are not affected by AdagIA account deletion. You must cancel them separately through Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.
AdagIA is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Users 13–17 may use the App only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. Educators using AdagIA Teams in classrooms with students under 13 must obtain verifiable parental consent and comply with COPPA, FERPA, GDPR-K, and other applicable child-privacy laws. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact apps@nicomotica.com and we will delete it.
No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security and recommend you protect your authentication-provider account.
The App's backend, AI providers, and supporting services may be located outside your country of residence, including in the United States. By using the App, you understand that data may be processed in those countries under appropriate safeguards.
The AdagIA web platform (adagia.nicomotica.cl) uses a single first-party cookie (adagia_lang) to remember your language preference for up to one year. No tracking, advertising, or third-party cookies are used. The iOS app itself does not use cookies.
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be announced inside the App and/or by email. Continued use of the App after the effective date of an updated Policy constitutes acceptance.
